Renewing Earth and Its People (REAP) is a gift fund established by John and Janet Doran.  By providing small grants for voluntary trainings, internships and work assignments, REAP hopes to help students, scientists and other professionals explore and address problems relating to:
  • world hunger
  • social justice
  • environmental stewardship
  • local food production
  • sustainable development

A guiding vision for REAP is to offer people opportunities for “becoming new creations” in learning to love one another and care for the earth (2 Corinthians 5:14-17).  By co-operating with liaison organizations to create alternative training opportunities, REAP will provide a witness to the secular world, encouraging joint efforts to address the world’s pressing issues.

REAP grants are drawn from investment profits accumulated in any given year.  Unused funds are available for use during times of local, national and international disaster to help the less fortunate survive and rebuild.
